Ruth Barker, the Director of Toddler Education Services Pty Ltd and Montessori 1:1, has an Associate Degree in Social Science, with a major in Child Development and Family Studies from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. She also has minor study in Consumer Sciences. Ruth is also a qualified Montessori Directress. She is an author of The Parenting 5 Series, that outlines how to provide the optimum environment for preschoolers, plus human behaviour in the home, which activities preschoolers require for brain growth and the path to academics. She is also an avid creator of fiction for little kids.
Ruth has worked in a variety of Early Childhood settings for over twenty six years in both Australia and the United Kingdom. This includes, in the past running a Montessori program for preschoolers with up to twenty enrolments per year. Ruth has experience with fine and gross motor delays, sensory processing disorders, speech delay and language disorders, prematurity, advanced development and bilingualism.
